My 10 Favorite Porn Films (in alphabetical order, for Slatted Light)

#1, A Gift I Made Myself / Three-Way is My Way (Falcon Studios): These two shorts are in fact one film that was originally split in half back in the days when porn movies were only purchasable as 8 mm films, but they were subsequently united with other shorts on a product called Falcon Pac 12, which is still available albeit only in VHS format. I love early Falcon Studios' shorts, as you'll see from my list, surely in part because they were among the first porns I ever saw back in the early 70s, but also because they were made in the days before the gay porn genre had any kind of mainstream or rules of what was acceptable/pc. The sex in these porns tends to have an intense, starved, go for broke intensity due in no small part to the obvious and sometimes quite openly displayed heavy drug and alcohol use among the performers. Also, having been shot on film rather than video, the visual quality is far more moody and imprecise than that found in porn made during the last fifteen or so years, leaving the exact architecture of the performer's bodies and orifices somewhat mysterious, which gives one's (or my at least) imagination far more room to move. They also rarely attempt provide any context or narrative at all, beginning when the models pounce and stopping short before they light their cigarettes or interact in any sort of revealing way. In this film(s), two hunky and very aggressive twentysomething tops make wild, daredevil use of a cute blond, very horny and clearly thrilled teenaged boy in what appears to be a cheap motel room. That's all there is to it, and it is hotter than shit.
